The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching a mixed Year 5 and Year 6 class, delivering engaging and well-structured lessons that support academic progress, confidence and wellbeing. You will be joining a committed team that values collaboration, professional development and high-quality teaching practice.

• Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in line with the National Curriculum
• Demonstrate strong subject knowledge in English to raise attainment and support writing outcomes
• Confidently teach Humanities (History and Geography)
• Assess, track and report on pupil progress
• Create a positive, inclusive and well-managed classroom environment
• Build strong relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues
• Maintain high expectations for behaviour, learning and safeguarding

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), although not essential, and relevant experience.

Proven experience teaching in Key Stage 2 (Year 5/6 preferred)

• Strong subject knowledge in English
• Confidence teaching Humanities
• Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
• A commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
• A reflective and collaborative approach to teaching

• Outstanding pupil behaviour and a calm learning environment
