Queensbury is a large Secondary Special School with a satellite 6th Form Centre (approximately 343 11 – 19 year old students in total), all with Educational Health Care Plans, which caters for students with Autism, Moderate Learning Difficulties, Severe Learning Difficulties and a range of complex needs. Our positive, caring ethos provides a safe, stable, hardworking learning environment where everyone is valued.
Required as soon as possible. We are seeking to appoint an aspirational, outstanding practitioner to join our Middle Management Team; a rare and exciting opportunity for the right person. This pivotal role is key to making ongoing improvements in the English curriculum across KS3 & KS4 and the successful candidate will need drive and strategic vision, combined with highly effective communication skills that will encourage, motivate and lead. The successful candidate needs to be able to inspire young people to achieve their maximum potential and have an excellent understanding of the challenges they face. The successful candidate should be able to share their passion for English, have a proven successful track record and an ability to develop inspirational programmes of study. You will need to deliver consistently high-quality lessons which demonstrate good/outstanding teaching, have genuine enthusiasm to work with our young people who are at the very heart of all that we do, and thrive on challenge in order to attain positive outcomes.
